Nine Year Sister is an independent pop/folk duo comprised of Australian singer/songwriters, Jennie Wardle and Emma Wardle.
The inspiration for the name ‘Nine Year Sister’ comes from being sisters and nine years apart in age.
Jennie and Emma write and record original songs and independently release music on websites including Bandcamp, YouTube and Spotify.
The sisters love to infuse their music and heartfelt lyrics with strong harmonies and acoustic guitar.
“Taking inspiration from all types of music, we don’t limit our songwriting to specific styles. Our music is positive, and we put a lot of thought and heart into our lyrics. We always try to ‘lift’ the listener and love to give the feeling of strength in our choruses.”
