For the perfect sunset and also for panoramic views over Stanthorpe, Mount Marlay is the place for you. Located only minutes from the centre of Stanthorpe town, if you are feeling adventurous, you can plan a walk to the lookout following a concrete path throughout the trees. For those who are less physically inclined, a bitumen road takes you all the way to the top! Here you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the entire town and the surrounding mountains and valleys.
There are free to use, mounted binoculars at the lookout as well as picnic tables with and without shade. Note: there are no toilet facilities.
For mountain biking enthusiasts, the mountain also features 4 mountain biking tracks, ranging from family or beginners terrain through to black diamond tracks for experienced riders. Southern Downs Mountain Biking Club on Facebook has more information about the trails.
